Futureproofing Santa Cruz

We need to make sure our students are ready to face the future. We have decided to set up an eLearning Centre with the latest technology at Santa Cruz High School. Our Mother PTA is taking the lead.

Mother PTA, getting ready to run their Common Service Centre from Santa Cruz HSS have decided to go for Interactive Board Projector, the latest technological godsend for 21st Century Classroom.

We should have the very best technogy and learning tools at our centre - says Sunitha.

We should have the latest computers and fast internet for our use in the classroom - added Nisa.

They are the first two mothers to join the Smart Classroom for Santa Cruz project.

 Asha and Najmunisa joined only recently. Vimal Nithi is the fifth woman to join our training program. Nithi is not a member of the Mother PTA, technically. In spirit she is an awesome Woman of Wiki. 

Gladwin and Mufsal, accompanied Sebastian as they visited our guide and mentor Mr. Ravindran at Tripunithura.



We have invited Mr.Ravindran to be the Chief Guest at the Interactive Whiteboard Projector Demo on 14 September 2017.

 

In order to ensure the furniture we use at our Common Service Centre is world class, we have asked Ashly Furnitures to quote.


Proforma Invoice for 10 laptops and a printer has been received from International Marketing Company.

Next step is to register a Cooperative Society run by Mother PTA of Santa Cruz. A new society may be formed with 7 members. We have the requred seven already! Three mothers of our Awesome Threesome and four mother PTA members.

Santa Cruz School has registered their connected learning activity at Global Collaboration Day on 21 September 2017.







































On Gandhi Jayanthi, 2 October 2017, Gladwin Xavier, Muhammed Mufsal and Muhammed Fardeen will connect Mother PTA with a classroom in France and demonstrate the benefits of online learning!!

 Six champions - 3 Mothers (MPTA members)  and the awesome threesome shall show (off) their fluency in English and French communication skills!




Team Santa Cruz makes tall promises and make them true.
Step by step, The Monumental Promise shall be realized!!

Santa Cruz shall lead at making schools in Kerala, Centres of Excellence, realizing the dream of Government of Kerala. Mother PTA shall create Santa Cruz's School Wiki and report their activities there to help other schools learn from us.

Dreams of Cultural Exchange

Sebastian was a guest at the 100th Monument Day on 30 June 2017. On that day, I requested him to help our school. He went back and made a blog post Monumental Promise ! It is his style: Make tall claims, then make it happen!! He is now training Santa Cruz students to continue with the Student Entrepreneurship part. According to him, three of our students will go on a cultural exchange this year; he shall make sure of that! Target 2017-18 Santa Cruz School shall inaugurate Global Teacher Garden Santa Cruz School students shall present at The Global Student Conference Student Police Cadets (Ahmed, Akshay and Mohammed)  shall go abroad on cultural exchange to this school! I am super excited. With his support, I can role-model for my teachers. On his advise, I have enrolled for Skype Master Teacher , I want to be the first teacher in Kerala to become a Skype Master Teacher. Wikipedia - Teachers' Treasure Trove

Since the day I met Sebastian Panakal, an Alumnus of Santa Cruz School, I have fallen in love with Wikipedia. I am keen on developing a Wiki culture of sharing and caring. Sebastian is a Wiki Facilitator . He is now mentoring our school. Here is one of the reasons I love Wikipedia. Sebastian is also the Founder of Women of Wiki. He uses it as his women empowerment platform. CLASS: Connected Learning Activities through Social Service is an impressive global project Sebastian is currently working at; Santa Cruz School is collaborating with him at his Greening with Love  activity.
